Message from the CEO

We are a medium-sized Chamber of Commerce, with close to a thousand Members located across the picturesque and economically vibrant county of Dorset. With a tradition of over six decades of providing business support in our county and beyond, we offer a comprehensive array of services, which represent good-value-for-money while adding value to Members’ businesses and contributing to the attainment of our Members’ commercial goals. 

 

We are a privately-run Membership organisation, funded predominantly by our Members and run for our Members, who range from sole traders to major international corporations. Guided by our Board, and advised by our Council, we are independent in the way we think and the way we operate. 

 

We are proud to be an accredited member of the national body, the British Chambers of Commerce. "The Ultimate Business Network" is no idle boast; we are members of the South West and South East Chambers of Commerce, and to help us develop into a model of best practice for our Members, we maintain an active dialogue with our neighbouring Chambers in Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset and Devon. 

 

Our aspiration is to become our Members’ preferred first port-of-call for a wide range of specialist business support.
