We have a Winner! - 28/07/2010
CG Pitcher and Son, family builders based in Blandford, launched their “Spot the Van Competition” in February 2010. Each quarter a winner is announced, and the winner receives £500 worth of construction work for their school, as well as a prize for themselves.
The first quarter winner was Hayeswood First School in Colehill, Wimborne. Mattie Robson entered the competition, and he and the Headmaster, Mr Bagwell, were delighted to win. Mattie (and his little brother Eddie) were awarded a toy CG Pitcher & Son van each, and the school won £500 worth of works, which they have decided to use to have the front wall of the school rendered in preparation of the children’s murals to be painted on there. The vans were presented at the school assembly, where Mark Pitcher also provided a safety talk to all the children, warning them of the dangers of playing on building sites.
To be in with a chance of winning the “Spot the Van” competition, children of schooling age are being asked to look out for CG Pitcher and Son’s vans, each of which is named after a Dorset village. Once spotted, a child can tell CG Pitcher and Son where and when they saw the van via the company’s website.
