Dorset Chamber celebrates three thousand years of continuous membership!

Long-standing members of Dorset Chamber of Commerce & Industry gathered at the Italian Villa at Compton Acres on June 21st.  The Fidelity Event, held on the longest day of the year, was conceived to recognise the massive support which those members have provided over the last three decades. The Chamber’s Board and Council members and management team welcomed the members present, who each received framed Certificates of appreciation.

Chamber Vice President, Michael Regenhardt, said “We greatly value the support of our loyal members, who together represent 2,954 years of continuous membership of the Chamber. This is a wonderful and unique opportunity for us to express our thanks”.

The longest-standing members of the Chamber present at the event were Messrs. Lester Aldridge, Leatherbarrows Removal & Storage, and Ellis Jones Solicitors (26 years each); Cowling & West (27 years); Grant Thornton UK LLP, and Bournemouth International Airport (28 years each); Bournemouth University (29 years); and Goadsby (30 years).

Peter Scott, Chamber chief executive, added: “Those long-standing members who were unable to join us at the presentation will each receive personalised certificates from the Chamber’s membership team”.

The event was sponsored by new member of the Chamber, Nordea Bank, whose Swiss-based executives Rosalind Booth and Christina Kennedy had flown in to be part of the evening’s proceedings.
